Although you think it's a worse scent, the scent doesn't stick and it's used to clean everything. You're doing double duty by using it... getting it very clean, and removing any harsh scents. Rinsing it after wards with water will get the vinegar scent out. I would definitely lean towards this than a lemon. Lemons have a strong, and more foot printing scent and when watered down, they aren't as effective.
