Q. This is my 1st winter in a cottage that I am renting. Every time that my furnace is running, there is a bad odor throughout the basement where the furnace is located. It smells pretty bad. It would be a good idea to inspect the furnace and the duct-ways for evidence of mice nests or other debris including mold.
